Patient abandonment without instructions for continued care or referrals to a higher standard of care. As my case was 'Too Complex'. Was told by the Office Manager that My insurance wouldn't cover anything. However when I called my dental Insurance, alot of the procedures were actually covered. Dispite the office being so insistent that it wasnt covered. I did end up filing a QCR report against the Doctor not only for patient abandonment as that's a huge patient safety risk. I did also have to report the attempted fraudulent billing practices.

The people there were helpful and courteous. Dr Renke was also courteous and talked you through the pulling process as it was happening to aleve you of your concerns as they were occuring, like cracking noises from tooth cap etc. There was no pain and it went quickly and you were done.🙂

Although I was definitely not looking forward to an implant Dr Pokorny lessened the anxiety from day one. Every procedure was clearly explained and flawlessly executed. Both Dr Pokorny and his staff are empathetic, and caring. The experience turned out to not be bad at all.

Dr. Pokorny gave me an implant this morning. It was as pain free as many people had told me it would. Dr. Pokorny was finished very quickly. He kept me informed as to what he was doing each step that he did. He is so patient, kind and personable. If I do more implants, he will definitely be the oral surgeon I use. His entire team was extremely pleasant. They actually deserve more than just 5 stars. Thank you Dr. Pokorny.

I was referred to this practice by my dentist to have three teeth evaluated that potentially needed to be pulled. Dr. Pconney had them re-x-rayed and all three needed to be pulled. He advised me of all my options and the estimate of cost and I had all three pulled and set up an appointment to have two implants put in in February of 2026. Dr. Pconney personally call me at home yesterday the day of surgery to see how I was doing which I thought exceeded my expectations ! This is my second time to go to this practice and I am very very happy with them !!!

During the procedure the nurse(s) mentioned I get instructions to treat or experience. I did not happen to receive any written post implant procedure instructions on what to experience or what is normal relative to expected soreness and swelling of the jaw, types of foods to avoid with new stitches, pain relief
