I was very fortunate to get into the oral surgery center. I was prepared that morning for a root canal. Turned out I needed an extraction. It was a Friday afternoon. They fit me in, everyone was very nice. The procedure was easier than expected and I had the whole weekend to recover. Highly recommend!

Dr Sonpal did an excellent job removing my broken tooth and installing the implant. Both procedures started on time. She took time to explain both procedures and answered all my questions. The procedures were performed with an anesthetic and were painless. I was given antibiotics to prepare me or the procedures. I was also given detailed instructions on how to protect the area where the procedures had been completed. I highly recommend Dr Sonpal because of my experience.

Dr. Renke was super quick and efficient with my wisdom teeth removal. He talked through the process with me and was able to calm my nerves. He also called me after to check to see how I was doing which was helpful. His assistants also were very calming and kind. One assistant tapped on my forehead as a calming mechanism cause I had a lot of anxiety, it also helped. Definitely recommend! I’m on day two with little to no pain and as expected swelling.

As both a parent and a dental professional, I was disappointed with our recent experience. My 13-year-old daughter had her wisdom teeth removed in December and unfortunately developed a significant infection about three months later. Late one evening, I noticed swelling, firmness, bruising, and a large amount of pus around the area. Due to the severity and the timing, I contacted the general dentist I work with to start my daughter on the same antibiotic she had previously been prescribed after surgery, with the plan to contact the oral surgeon’s office first thing the next morning. I called the office the following morning and was able to get my daughter in to be seen within two days, which I appreciated. In the meantime, I cleaned and drained the area and continued the antibiotic until her appointment. At the visit, when I attempted to explain what had happened and the steps taken prior to coming in, Dr Pokorney was very dismissive and seemed upset that we had not contacted their office first. He also stated that my daughter had been on the “wrong antibiotic” for two days. However, we had called the office less than 12 hours after starting it, and it was the exact antibiotic she had been prescribed after surgery and recommended temporarily by our general dentist. If it was truly the wrong antibiotic, that could have easily been addressed during the phone call prior to the visit. I completely understand that busy practices have a lot to manage, but being dismissive or rude when a concerned parent is trying to explain the situation is never the answer. Additionally, during our initial consultation appointment some of the front desk staff were also somewhat rude, although we chose to continue with the practice at that time. As a dental professional myself, I always try to treat patients and parents with respect and take the time to listen. Experiences like this make it difficult to feel confident referring patients in the future.

The preoperative communication went well. The surgery was quick. My son recovered quickly and well after his wisdom tooth extraction.
