Having a wisdom tooth extraction at Rochester Hills Oral Surgery office this week of September 9th 2019 was the easiest tooth pulling party I have ever been too. I was in and the tooth out in one hour on the dot. I was very impressed with staff and the care I was given. The attention to detail every step of the way as to what was to come next put me at ease and I had no pain at all before and after. Everything was made very clear as what to expect and I must say Dr. Pokorny has bed side manner the likes of which I have never seen before. He put me at ease with a hypnotic way speaking that made me think I had known him forever. If you have any fears of seeing an oral surgeon please see Rochester Hills Oral Surgery first. You are fearless when you leave. Great visit.

I visited Dr. Pokorny because I was in need of an implant. I was quite nervous, as I had never had this procedure done before. Dr. Pokorny made me feel comfortable from the minute he walked in the door. He thoroughly explained the procedure and what would be done step by step. I honestly felt no pain whatsoever during the entire procedure. He was very gentle and even called me that same evening to make sure that everything was ok. I highly recommend Dr. Pokorny to anyone in need of any oral surgery. He and his entire staff are very professional, kind, ,personable, and super organized, I would give them more than 5 stars!

Dr. Pokorny and his staff were fantastic. I opted for local numbing only and needed zero pain meds for recovery and had no swelling. After some difficulty with the first tooth he said he might need to drill, so I said a quick prayer and as I finished it popped out. So Thank You God and credit to Dr. Pokorny and his staff for making something I wasn’t looking forward to go so smoothly.

Cathy Laube Last month my husband was having major problems with a wisdom tooth. Thankfully, my dentist recommended Dr. Pokorny. His office promptly set an appointment for within the hour. Dr. Pokorny consulted with my husband and then extracted the infected wisdom tooth. The procedure went smoothly as well as his recovery. What really impressed us was that evening Dr. Pokorny called to see how my husband was feeling and if he had any discomfort! Needless to say, Dr. Pokorny and his office staff were very supportive to my husband's dental needs. We highly recommend Dr. Pokorny and his staff to help anyone with dental (oral) surgeries.

I’ve been through a great deal of oral surgeon and dentist offices, and had a great deal of work done over several years. I’ve never had an experience as great as the one here at Rochester Hills OMS. I’ve always had an incredible fear of mouth related procedures but I felt entirely comfortable and safe under Dr. Pokorny’s care. You can tell he’s the type of specialist who cares both about his patients and their comfortability. I would definitely recommend coming here for your oral surgeon needs!

I have taken both of my young children here for tooth extractions and my experience was great both times! Dr. Renke and his staff do a terrific job calming down the nerves and making the process quick and easy. Dr. Renke does a great job of explaining the process to both me and my child and his techs not only assist in the process, but also do an outstanding job of comforting the patient. My son who was extremely nervous, could hardly believe Dr. Renke when he said he was done! Dr. Renke also personally followed up later in the day to make sure all was well. Great experience! Highly recommend this office for all of your oral surgery needs!

I visited Dr. Pokorny about 2 weeks ago for a tooth removal that had been cracked. The office staff was kind enough to give me appointment quickly as my tooth had broken and I was in pain. The whole facility (staff and doctor) are really great. The tooth extraction was quick and painless. Doctor was thorough in the sense that my regular dentist had made an error in identifying the tooth to be removed, but Dr. Pokorny after examining told me that a different tooth needs to come out. The office called the regular dentist and verified. I am glad that for verification otherwise I would have lost two teeth. After couple of hours later, Dr. Pokorny called me to check how I was doing. Great service and staff. I will recommend this doctor to any one.

Fantastic! I have a special needs brother that was in pain due to a broken tooth. The office was very kind and able to fit us in. Everyone we encountered in the office (front desk and assistants) were professional and genuine. Dr. Sonpal was amazing seeing my brother. She was patient and did an excellent job. We had Dr. Renke pull both our daughter's wisdom teeth on the same day. He and his staff were amazing. They were thorough for our initial appointment and answered all of our questions to prepare us for the "big day." On the day of the procedure, they were so professional and efficient that I was even more confident that the girls were in good hands. Everything went smoothly and they had no adverse side effects at all. Dr. Renke even personally called us that night to check on them. I will definitely recommend Dr. Renke to others!

The entire office staff was fabulous! The staff respected my daughters decision to have her four wisdom teeth removed with a local anesthetic and post pain management other than a narcotic. Dr. Pokorny and his staff at the consult appointment prepared her very well. The same staff that worked with her at the consult appointment was part of the surgery process, which was great carryover. Dr. Pokorny followed up with a phone conversation in the evening of her surgery day. I would highly recommend this practice.

My 7 year old had a very infected baby tooth that needed an extraction asap. They fit her in within hours! The front desk is SO nice, the assistant, Stacy was the sweetest and Dr. Pokorny was so amazing! The entire staff made my very nervous little girl feel so much better! I wish I could give him 10 stars! I highly recommend this doctor and office!

Just took my son here for his wisdom teeth removal. We had a great experience from top to bottom. The entire staff is welcoming and professional. Dr. Sonpal is amazing! My son was comfortable the entire time. Post surgery he has had barely any discomfort and no swelling. I would not hesitate to come to this office again or to recommend Dr. Sonpal to others. My experience with Dr. Sonpal and her entire office was fantastic from start to finish. I felt so comfortable with her professional demeanor and her highly trained skill. She is very personable and exudes a quiet confidence. Hopefully no more oral surgery but if I did require it in the future, I wouldn't search any further. There is a nice friendly feel in the office as well. 🙂

I don't typically leave reviews but i had to on this one! As a kid, I had bad experiences with anything related to dental work. Things got a bit better as I grew up into an adult. However, I was quite nervous about getting my wisdom teeth extracted. I was almost more nervous about getting put out. I have to say that the team did an excellent job! I had Dr. Renke and I literally don't even remember falling asleep. I woke up and it was over in what seemed like a few seconds and I felt surprisingly great. I followed all of the after care instructions and had no swelling whatsoever. As an added bonus, I also quite smoking and have now been tobacco free for 2 weeks. Highly recommend and for anyone that is terrified of getting your wisdom teeth extracted, don't be as it is a piece of cake.

My daughter saw Dr. Pokorny, if I spelled that right, and he was SO caring and so very good in his work! She had a 5th wisdom tooth in fact that was in a difficult spot but got it out without any issues! Her recovery was great too! Her and I both can’t recomment him enough!! Amazing doctor who really listens to patients needs and anxieties. He knows how to help in that area as well to make it comfortable for patients!

Dr. Pokorny and his team were so amazing and sweet when I had to remove the rest of my wisdom teeth as one had got infected. He kept me very calm and relaxed in the procedure and made me aware of all my options and communicated every step along the way. I highly recommend him and his team! I'm not sure why I put off getting my wisdom teeth for so long. I had all four removed 1 week ago by Dr. Pokorny. He has the kindest bedside manner and helped me not be so anxious about being sedated/having surgery. Nerve blocks were perfect. I felt very minimal soreness for a few days post op. I was ready to head out to the fair with my family a few hours after the surgery! Things are healing well and I appreciate not having to deal with my wisdom teeth any longer. I highly recommend Dr. Pokorny, especially if you are nervous about the surgery or want nice balanced sedation!
