I visited Dr. Pokorny on Monday for a routine wisdom tooth extraction. (Routine for the Doctor, but not for me...Ha). Both Dr. Pokorny and his assistant Deana were very convincing that it was an easy procedure. About ten minutes later it was all done. It took me fifty years to have my tooth removed, and I wish I found a Doctor like this many years ago. I highly recommend this office due to its expertise and wonderful staff!

Dr. Pokorny knows what he is doing. I saw him years ago about my baby tooth that was still there that all my dentists said I should pull and he was very honest with how long it would last and whether or not to do it. I waited and when the time finally came, now, about five years later, he has done a great job with the long process of getting a new tooth. During the surgeries he walked me through each step and was very calm and knowledgeable. The office staff and assistance are great also.

Dr. Pokorny is a true professional. I had him do an extraction and an implant a couple of years ago and was extremely pleased with the experience. He explained the entire process as he was going through it and informed me what to expect. He also kept the entire procedure pain free. I had had an infection which caused bone loss and he grafted the area and which grew back and made the implant successful. I can't even tell which of my teeth is the implant. I was so happy with the process that when I recently had another molar break causing an infection in my gum I headed right back to him to begin the process again. I couldn't recommend him highly enough!

I am very impressed. It is never easy to have a tooth pulled but my experience was great with Dr Renke. It was not easy to remove but he did it without causing me much discomfort. His assistant explained everything up front as to the cost and options and then afterward what I could expect over the next few days and weeks and how to care for the oral surgery location.

Despite being 54 years old, I was quite nervous about going to see Dr. Pokorney to have three wisdom teeth extracted. I am now 36 hours past my appointment. I have had hardly any pain and very little swelling. I have followed post care Instructions exactly as written. As long as I make it through the next week without any issues, I will consider the visit a resounding.success.

Appointments are easy to make. Office is professional and polite. When they take you to the exam room, they will explain the process to you before the surgeon arrives. The surgeon is also polite and professional and will also explain the process and answer any questions you may have.

Dr. Pokorny & staff were nothing less than outstanding! I had a cracked molar that needed to be removed and a bone graph for a possible future dental implant. The doctor and staff exhibited a caring and respectful manor throughout my procedure. Dr. Pokorny explained what needed to be done before anything was started and explained the options for pain management for the procedure. He also talked to me as he was doing the procedure, indicating what to expect as he was removing the molar. There was absolutely no pain during the procedure! After the procedure I was given specific written instructions which the staff made sure I understood. Dr. Pokorny gave me his card and said I should contact him anytime if there is any sort of issue with the removed tooth. He also called me later that day to make sure I was doing well. It has been just over a week since the procedure and everything is great. No pain afterwards and no issues. I highly recommend Rochester Hills Oral Surgery and Dr. Pokorny.
